I am Simon Radestock

I trained as a signwriter and then as decorator getting my city and guilds and pretty much launching myself on the public straight away. 

I trained and worked alongside, some great tradesman along the way and picked up many (now almost widely forgotten) tips and tricks as well as the patience to obtain the finish that is oh so important.

Having been a stalwart for the traditional methods I adapted quickly and early on to the newer paints and trends as they changed and improved to the products we have today; even being directly involved in the research and eventual production of the Hamilton expression range of brushes. To this day I still consult to Hamilton with regards to product development and testing and have represented them on several occasions including doing their masterclass talks at the yearly national painting and decorating shows. I've even demonstrated my decorating skills for some advertising videos!

I have been privileged enough to work on some great projects over the years such as Kensington palace staterooms and in America on the Dayton Ohio Masonic lodge and the engineers club both of which were for IFACS (international fine arts and conservation studios US) and many listed buildings too.

Our services include the obvious quality decorating, but we also build bespoke fitted furniture and re-fit bathrooms and kitchens where my right-hand man Steven Holley’s experience at poggenpohl kitchens come a to play. We have over 60 years of experience between us which means we can find a way around any issues or problems with an eye to the quirky finishes and interior design with free-flowing ideas as many a client will attest to.
